ABOUT ME
I’m a cinematographer, camera operator, media producer, director, and editor with over 16 years of experience working across film, television, commercials, music videos, branded content, social media, and digital projects. My career has taken me through a wide range of productions, from unscripted television and documentary-style work to feature films, scripted projects, comedy specials, music videos, and large-scale camera teams. Along the way, I’ve worked on projects for networks and platforms including A&E, Hulu, Amazon, Netflix, Comedy Central, Food Network, MotorTrend, Paramount, Fox, CBS, HGTV, Lifetime, and many others.
I love all things comedy and have always especially enjoyed shooting comedic projects. Whether it’s a stand-up special, a scripted scene, or a fast-moving unscripted moment, I like finding the right way to capture timing, reactions, and the fine details that make something funny actually land on camera. I’m also very comfortable working in all kinds of production environments, whether I’m operating solo, collaborating with a small crew, or helping lead camera and lighting teams on larger professional sets.
Outside of production, I’m a husband and father to two kids, Blake and Jude, a lifelong animal and plant lover, and a pretty diehard baseball fan. My wife and I own and run Animal People, an animal rescue, rehab, and educational company, which has become a huge part of our family’s life. I also spent more than a decade shooting and developing 35mm film by hand, and I’ve published two books along the way. Whether I’m working with cameras, animals, plants, film, or people, I’m usually drawn to the same thing: finding the story, paying attention to the details, and helping bring something meaningful to life from the first idea all the way through the final edit.
